APOSTLE JOSEPH HAMILTON is founder and prelate of the Apostolic International Alliance (AIA), a growing interdenominational fellowship of ministers spreading across the United States and onto foreign soil. He is the esteemed pastor of Zion Church formerly know as New Zion Bible Way Church located in West End area of Birmingham, A.L. With an agenda focused on kingdom building, the visionary Apostle Hamilton launched and serves as CEO of J. Hamilton Ministries, International, an evangelistic ministry designed to bring salvation, restoration and healing to believers and non-believers alike through crusades, revivals and outreach campaigns. He ministers to multi-cultural audiences around the world.
Apostle Hamilton has a legacy of dedication to the Body of Christ ranging from local to international recognition. His initial formal ministry was organist for the Young Adult Choir at his home church and associate minister. His steps continued to be ordered by the Lord along a path of various ecclesiastical promotions-from glory to glory. He was ordained and elevated to the office of Elder; called to serve as Interim Pastor after the passing of the Senior Pastor in 1995; and, after one year; installed as second pastor in the history of New Zion Bible Way Church. It was at this time, Pastor Hamilton put aside a career as Manager of Systems Operations for a local company to focus on maintenance of the ministry.
In 1998, Pastor Hamilton was elevated to the office of District Elder; covering Bible Way Churches in the states of Alabama and Georgia as state secretary. On July 8, 1999, he was consecrated to the office of Bishop at the Holy Convocation of the Bible Way Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ World-Wide held in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. In conjunction with this elevation, Bishop Hamilton served as the Chairman of the Credentials Department and member of the Executive Board of Bishops and later established the first Convention Services Auxiliary. It was during the 5oth Holy Convocation of the Bible Way Church World Wide, held in Washington, D.C., July 7, 2007, that Bishop Hamilton was affirmed to the office Apostle, by the Honorable Chief Apostle Huie Lee Rogers, Presiding Bishop.
A family man and one who rules his house well, Apostle Hamilton is married to the lovely Lady Jamiese Hamilton and the proud father of four gifted children (all active in ministry): Joneice (Pastor Julius), Lori (Nate), Joshua (Larissa) and Meagan (JonAnthony). Apostle and Lady Hamilton are blessed with five adorable grandchildren: Hannah, J.W, Isabelle, Jayce and Jax.
